I'm thankful for....

As we celebrated Thanksgiving this year I realized I have so much to be thankful for. Even more so this year now that Maegan has joined our family. I feel so blessed to be a mother. It's challenging, but incredibly rewarding. To some it might seem like I don't have a lot, but I disagree. I have a roof over my head, food to eat, clothes to wear, the gospel, and most importantly, my family. And I'm happy. I love my family. They are so wonderful and have blessed me in so many ways. It was wonderful to spend time with them this week.

Here's a very happy aunt Robyn!

Maegan is my mother's parents first great-grandchild. So here is Maegan with great-grandpa Lyman.

Maegan and Daddy chilling on the couch just before Thanksgiving dinner.

I love this picture! It turned out so cute, even though it's a little distorted. We were visiting my dad's parents and I couldn't resist snapping this. It's Grandma Sue and Maegan! And look at that face!!! It's almost a smile. Maegan has certainly come a long way in her seven weeks. She is holding herself up more, chatting away in her own little language and starting to smile at us. She's even doing better at night. She mostly sleeps for four hours at a time, so I can't complain. It can only get better from here...or at least that's what I keep telling myself.

Our Little Angel

I think all of these pictures prove to me that although we had a little girl, Maegan is Jeremy's girl all the way! She looks like him, snores like him, and even sleeps like him. Not to embarrass him or anything, but he sleeps with his mouth open just like this too! It's incredible!

These are just some fun ones I made Jeremy take the other night while I was burping her. She gets so animated! Her head was just bobbing around and she was just chatting away with us in her own little language. I just love it! It makes those late nights and early mornings so worth it. And doesn't she just look like her daddy?

She rarely cries in the bathtub anymore. In fact the other night she was crying when we were getting her ready for her bath, but the minute she hit that water she was quiet as could be and just let me clean her. Now she even scoots herself down so more of her body can be in the water. We have a little mermaid on our hands! I wonder if she'll be singing "Part of Your World" and splashing around in tub like her mother did in the near future...hmmm.

I can't get enough of those cherub cheeks! THEY ARE SO CUTE!!!!!

Hungry Maegan!

Maegan is so funny when she gets hungry. She will try to eat anything that comes near her mouth. This is what happened the other night when Jeremy's nose got a little too close...yummy huh?

One Month!

We just can't believe Maegan is now a month old! How fast time flies! She is doing very well, sleeping better every day, and is just so much fun. We are looking forward to the next couple of weeks and seeing some real smiles. Lately she's been smiling a lot while she sleeps and even sounds like she's laughing. We think she's dreaming of heaven.

I can't imagine life without my precious daughter. I just love being a mother! Maegan is the most wonderful blessing the Lord could have ever given Jeremy and I. We treasure every moment with her and the spirit she brings to our home. She's brought us closer together and closer to the Lord.

GO UTES!

Here's Daddy's little Utah fan. It's a little big on her, but he wanted her to wear it for the game last Saturday. Go Utes!!!

Bath time and Snuggling

Here's our little sweetie again. She is such a cuddler! And she's out cold! She's growing so fast! She's almost nine pounds now! I can't believe it!

This was our first somewhat painless bath. She stopped crying....

For a minute. But when uncle Brian came over for the Utah game Friday night...she made it through her whole bath without crying once! We were so proud!

Halloween!

We were relieved to see that Maegan fit into her Halloween costume! We thought it might be a little bit too big, but it worked out great! Isn't she just the cutest little pink leopard you ever saw! We loved it! As did the grandparents...who were so happy that we came to see them. We had a great night, and were relieved to get home and get to sleep that night.

I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to take this picture. It was way too cute! What a proud daddy!
