As was pointed out to me by my aunt Natalie, I have spelled my daughter's name two different ways. We still aren't sure how we want to do it yet. We are still playing around with it. But I will let everyone know for sure!

So for those who'd like to, we have some of the ultrasound for your viewing pleasure. This first clip is just the first five minutes or so where they took some of Meagan's measurements and if you watch really closely they get a great little profile of her.
This next one we got at the very end. She got the hiccups and the Dr that was in the room was kind enough to let us watch her. She only does it about three times, and if you blink at the wrong moment you might miss it, but we thought it was cute and wanted to add it on. Enjoy!

It's a....
GIRL!!!
Yes, yesterday we went and met with my new doctor, Natalie Loewen and also had our ultrasound. I told the ultrasound tech I thought we were having a boy and about twenty seconds later she turns to me and says, "It's not a he." I was shocked! At first I didn't believe her, but the pictures really prove it. She really gave us a good couple of shots! I will admit I did shed a few tears at that point in time. I was really hoping that she was a she, but I didn't want to get my hopes up. As soon as the tech told me, I started to tear up.
We spent about thirty minutes making sure she looks healthy and so far so good! She was being a little stubborn and laying on her arms, twisting around a little bit. But she is healthy, and that is all I care about. Toward the end they had one of the doctors come in and he let us watch her for a few minutes cause she had the hiccups. She is so cute!
Right after we headed straight over to my mom's with the pictures and the DVD they made for us. As soon as the word girl left my mouth, they shouted for joy and then pounced!! They were both really hoping for a girl and I'm glad we could deliver! As soon as Dad got home we put in the DVD and let them see her too. It was a wonderful moment for all of us. Today we'll go over and show Jer's parents too. This is their first grandbaby (they have step-grandkids, but never got to see them as babies) and so it will be very special for them too.
From the minute I found out I was pregnant I felt that if we were having a girl her name would be Maegan Elizabeth Sorensen, and after yesterday it really feels like it fits. For now we are just anxiously waiting to hold our little girl in our arms. October 6th here we come!

An Unwanted Surprise
So this morning I came into the office and as usual booted up my computer, signed in and proceeded to follow my usual routine of counting the cash drawer, putting doc schedules in the back and pulling messages off the after hours line. After I get all of that done I usually pull up the trib and check the obituaries and see if there is anything interesting that has happened in the past day or so. Well I got the shock of my life when I noticed that my OB's obituary was included! He died on Sunday in his sleep! I immediately panicked and then started crying. Here I am 22 weeks pregnant and my doctor dies. Thankfully my office manager has connections and was able to get me an appt with a doc at IMC on June 20. But now that means I have to wait a few more days to have my ultrasound. I am telling you...when it rains it pours, as it is conveniently doing outside now. I really hope I like this new doc and that everything will transition smoothly. This is definitely not something I thought I would have to deal with!

The Three Preggies!
So this weekend our friends Sean and Sian were in town from Illinois. Sian (left) is 3 weeks ahead of me in her pregnancy and Destiny (middle) is about 3-4 weeks behind me. It's the first time we've all been together since we all got pregnant so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get a pic of the three of us together since Sean and Sian are moving to Missouri and we won't see them again until after we all have our kids. Our tummies might not be too big. but I sure think we look hot! It was just wonderful to spend time with them! I love that our kids are going to be the same age! Its so fun!
We had a great Memorial day weekend. We went to see Annie Get Your Gun at Hale Theatre on Friday night and Jeremy walked away having enjoyed it more then he thought he would. I of course loved it! It brought back some great memories from high school! Saturday I went and visited graves while Jer stayed home and waited for Comcast to come and install the Internet, and in true cable fashion they came late. But we are happy to have the Internet at home! Now if only we could somehow get a washer and dryer in here...
We also went that afternoon and saw Indiana Jones, which was different but we both enjoyed it. We now want to see Prince Caspian and Iron Man, both of which I heard were great. We'll just have to wait and see!

Half-way there!
This week I officially reached my halfway mark! I am now 20 weeks and feeling some awesome fetal movements! I got a great kick to my bladder late last week...boy I can't wait for those kicks to get stronger (voice drips with sarcasm.) I'm not quite showing as much as I thought I would at this point, but on Saturday when we finally get the Internet I will be able to post some pictures of what I do look like. Still feeling good, just tired. But I suppose that won't ever really go away!
Our ultra sound is coming closer. In about four weeks we'll know whether or not we're having a little boy or girl. Its been a long time coming and lots of friends and family are wanting to know just as much or more then we are. Then maybe we can finally settle on some names. When we went out for dinner a couple of weeks ago we spent the whole dinner going through the alphabet trying to agree on a boy's name and we couldn't! Hopefully we'll be in agreement four months from now!

So Jer finally finished his first year of school yesterday! He is so happy he has the summer to relax, and so am I! He did a lot of really cool projects, but if you really want to see his pride and joy check out http://slccdesigners.com/st75. This is a website he has wanted to create since before we even met. It comes from his passion for motorcycles.

Morning sickness...BE GONE!!
So knock on wood...I think my morning sickness is finally gone! I have spent the last two days medication free and have been able to eat almost anything without consequence! It's so refreshing to finally feel back to normal! Even the fatigue is fading! So far I am loving my second trimester! Three weeks and I will be halfway through my pregnancy!
Things went very well at my appointment, and we heard a strong little heartbeat in no time! It's going to be a long two months to wait to see what we're having though. Jeremy and I both can't wait to see our baby again. This has just been the most amazing experience to go through together. It has really brought us closer together.
Tis the season for weddings! Two of our friends got married this weekend and we have 3 or 4 more receptions to attend over the next two months. It's so fun to see their enthusiasm and how incredibly happy they are, no matter how long it has been since I've seen them! I can't help but be excited for the road ahead of them. I think back to our wedding and how quickly time flies by. Here we are two and a half years later and getting ready to be parents. WOW! How much happens in such a short amount of time. But how wonderful that short amount of time has been! As my wise aunt Natalie once said, "I chose my love...I love my choice!" And I do!

Baby blessings and my boring life...
So Sunday the 13th we were able to go to my little cousin Tanner's baby blessing. Aaron and Heather were worried that he would cry through the whole thing, but he was just as quiet as could be. It was a beautiful blessing and has me looking forward to when we bless our baby...even though it seems an eternity away!
We had a great time visiting with family and the chicken salad was so amazing! It has been nice to enjoy eating almost all kinds of food again. Although any green salad is the enemy...not easy to digest at all! I'm hoping that gets better soon though so I can actually eat cafe rio again. I miss cafe rio...sad story.
That's all the exciting news we have for now...for the most part our lives are pretty boring. We go to work and school and then go home and do nothing. Hopefully life will liven up once Jer gets out of school and I start feeling better (if I ever do.) We'll have more exciting news in about five weeks once we find out what we are having. I have a feeling its going to be a boy so if it turns out to be a girl I'll be pleasantly surprised. But we'll just have to wait and see!

Pregnancy is a Miracle!
So today I woke up with some cramping that continued throughout the morning and became a little worried, so I called my doc and they set up an ultrasound for me just to put my mind at ease because we weren't able to hear a heartbeat on Friday. So this afternoon we went over to the hospital and got to see our little one!
Everything is just wonderful! I couldn't see him/her moving at first while they were measuring my uterus, but then the tech zoomed in on a little heart, and turned on the sound. I've never heard something so wonderful in my entire life as that little heartbeat! I tried valiantly to hold back tears. And then when she finally focused on the baby we could see that he/she was moving around...A LOT...and sucking on his/her thumb! Jeremy was shocked when baby started kicking and doing somersaults. He didn't realize they move that much so early! We both just couldn't believe it!
What a miracle pregnancy is! Now it finally feels real!
