A Sacred Experience

Yesterday Jeremy and I took the opportunity and braved the crowds at the conference center to go to President Hinckley's viewing. We parked at Gateway, took trax up to temple square and then stood outside the conference center with the rest of the crowds. Once inside we were ushered into the seats on the balcony where we waited for about 45 minutes until they took our section, row by row up to the hall of the prophets. What a spirit that resided in the room! No one spoke. We simply stood by his casket, many of us with tears of joy and sorrow in our eyes, and said our goodbyes. How my testimony was strengthened because of him! I believe the spirit in the room testified to all of us that this is not the end. We have a Heavenly Father who loves us and wants us to return to him. We just need to endure to the end.
As we walked along the back of the top balcony there were pictures of him and his family to look at. We left with our spirits touched, out hearts lifted and our testimonies strengthened. What a marvelous and sacred experience it was!
